Hello. I am Morrie
the Moray eel, a Ty Beanie Baby.
An eel is a fish that belongs to the order
Anguilliformes (Apodes). There are both fresh-water and marine
eels.
The Moray (family Muraenidae) is a marine
eel found frequently in coral reefs. Morays are usually from
1 to 4 feet long, but they can reach lengths of 6 feet. They
have a long snakelike body with one long fin running along the
body. There is a lot of mucous covering the body that makes grasping
an eel very difficult. They hunt for their food at night by smell.
Morays are vicious but not venomous.
