This little Skye Terrier is Genghis and is made by Russ.

The Skye Terrier is a small dog (9 to 10 inches) that is twice as long as it is high. The weight is from 19 to 23 pounds. Colors can be black, grey, fawn or cream, all with black points. The coat is long and straight with a wooly undercoat.

These little dogs are lively and loyal. They do not like to be teased and owners with children need to make sure the Skye is treated properly. The Skye does not accept other pets without first being trained to do so.

This breed was originally produced in Scotland to hunt foxes, otters and badgers. It is named after its homeland Isle of Skye, off the coast of Scotland.

They are good companion dogs today. They make good watch dogs but are too small to be considered guard dogs.
