There are all kinds of German Shepherds living at Jeannie's
Cottage, plus some frames you can put pictures of your favorite Shepherd in. There is a little Shepherd magnet made by Fuzzy Town Plush and five plush dogs including Rascal (left, a Shepherd Terrier mix) from Douglas Cuddle Toys, a little Fuzzy Town shepherd, Maxwell from Ganz, Saba the Shepherd from Douglas and Klaus (right) the Shepherd from Wild Republic. German Shepherds are working dogs. They are used for military and police work. Their highly effective sense of smell comes in very handy in police work. They are also used as guard dogs and for search and rescue work.
German Shepherds are about 24 inches high, the males are bigger than the females. Their weight is about 80 pounds.
Their are three varieties: rough-coated, long rough-coated and long-haired. These dogs are loyal, affectionate and obedient with their master and children. They are easily trained. They are tolerant of other animals, but wary of strangers.
