The Church chose December 25 to celebrate Christmas. The date was chosen to indicate the triumph that Christ's birth represented over the pagan traditions of the Roman empire. Today, some believe that celebrating December 25th endorses the old pagan holidays. But, in fact, the intent was to override the old pagan ways and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Today the world has all but forgotten the pagan gods of Rome. But at least a billion people on planet Earth celebrate the Christ of Christmas.

Christmas is celebrated each year with song, feasts, church services, family get-togethers, and gift giving.
